An unconventional x-ray radiation system was developed for the KD7478AWH and KD7478BWH models in the Specific Applications line-up for tall products. A side view system with a different x-ray direction specifically designed for tall, upright containers was implemented into these two models. Each model can perform food inspection on products that fall within the size limit of 120 mm X 350 mm. Use this detection technology to detect contaminants in food stored within plastic bottles, stand up pouches and milk cartons to name a few of the upright product containers. The two x-ray inspection models cannot inspect anything in glass containers.

Food inspection for standing products that are in a vertical position on the conveyor belt can be inspected by two pieces of equipment, including the KD7478AWH and KD7478BWH models in the Specific Applications line-up for tall products. Both models can detect a Fe sphere and SUS sphere of up to 0.4 mm dia.
